SWGB, what is the over-under for the number of roof and balcony falls by idiots this spring break season?

Haven't been keeping track. I was supposed to start squares earlier in the season, but someone (related to the Yeti) forgot to remind me.

A couple of years ago a neighbor saw teenagers jumping off the second floor balcony into our pool. The parents were inside the house drinking. The kids were outside smoking grass. A neighbor called us, we called rental management, and they evicted these "guests" with no refund (so these idiots lost about half a week, so almost $2500 ).

Now we have signs posted that say, "Do not jump off balconies or porches into pool" and "No diving.":bang:

Of course, on several occasions I have seen grandmas at the house next door babysitting little kids on the third floor . The kids climb over the porch railing and onto the roof! The sitter seems okay with what is going on. I always fuss at the kids and tell them to get off the roof and back onto the porch. Who saves their lives when I'm not there? :dunno:

It's interesting where some of the warning signs in rentals come from. My all time favorite:

Do Not Use Iron On Deck

Don't fight natural selection.

Amen.

"It is a misdemeanor to climb on balconies on Panama City Beach, Humphreys said, but he doubted that his agency would charge Dial with anything. Humphreys described the ordinance as a "preventative" measure."

Interesting. As Dr Phil would ask, "How's that working for you?" Making a law for drunken outsiders with no sense of danger is about as genius as blocking all balconies with yellow caution tape.

Lesson learned for that kid, and many of his friends. I hope the kid can recover from this moment of stupidity, and grow into a fine person.

One's already gone off the balcony and I fell asleep to cursing and giggling on the path in the wee hours of the morning - Spring Break is definitely HERE!

It occurred to me that he's now in that market of return visitors PCB is always looking for. What with the missing teeth. ;-)

A 23-year-old Spring Breaker survived a six-story balcony fall early Monday morning with relatively few injuries, police say. Ross Skarda, of Arlington, Texas, is in guarded condition at a local hospital after falling off a sixth-floor balcony at Seachase Condominiums on Front Beach Road, according to Panama City Beach police.
Police reported to the condo at 1:43 a.m. and found Skarda in sand dunes on the beach side of the condo. According to Maj. David Humphreys, Skarda was showing off for friends by standing on a chair on the balcony, when the chair kicked out from under him, and he toppled over the edge.
He landed in the midst of sand and sea oats.
"By the grace of God, he survived this with very little injuries," said Humphreys.
Police also have responded this morning to a report of a female spring breaker passed out at a local condo with possible alcohol poisoning, and a report of a female spring breaker who is intoxicated and riding the elevator at another condo up and down, refusing to get off the elevator.

another jumper? wow. good thing for him he landed on sand instead of concrete. A six story fall survival is nothing short of amazing and drunkeness.

Now for the girl refusing to get off the elevator, :rotfl:...perfect! Beats the heck out of the other incidents, like the stabbings with the broken beer bottle at one club in PCB last week, or the girl shooting at another girl.
