I'm so glad the colors are still on the trees. We're driving down to the beach this weekend by way of Atlanta (RO, we're going through your territory!). It will be a fantastic drive down by the looks of these pics. :clap_1:

This weekend is suppost to be the peak. Who really knows but we looked at property on one of the mountains today and it was beautiful.

Usually it takes 13 hours or more, depending on what kind of traffic jam we hit in Nashville.

That's what I thought, from Indpls. For us, being in the northern burbs of Chgo, it takes us about 17 hrs, and we would have to spend the night. We just wish we were closer to make quicker trips more often.

Not me, but it made me want to dig through some old photos to find one or two of me hang-gliding over Lookout Mountain, located just outside of The Nooga. The colors are still as beautiful. Maybe later.:D

What a shot of nostalgia!!! My mom has a "See Rock City" birdhouse. When we were little and driving to the Clearwater area by way of the 'Nooga, we would count those barn roofs and billboards. Are there any still around?

Oddly enough, there's one barn with Rock City on it on the way to our son's college in Evansville.

We took our kids to Rock City when they were little and tried to find all the seven states at the lookout platform. What ones were they? Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama,...RO, help me here!

Well, unless you are Lee Majors that 7 states is one helluva gimmick. But I think they are TN, GA, AL, NC  , SC  , MS  , AR  . I'll have to check it out. We'll probablly be going up for Christmas lights this year. If you come through around Tgiving it's worth the time to take the light tour.
