Pet Peeves--Holiday Edition

1. Those little styrofoam peanuts. They fly everywhere and stick to everything.

2. Pumping one's own gas. I know this is not really holiday related, but I have decided I REALLY hate doing this. What ever happened to those nice, young men that would run out of the station and pump it for you? Ahh..the good old days.

3. That crappy George Michael song--Last Christmas.

I worked a Christmas at JCPenney in college. It was one of the 6 or so songs they played on loop!

I also hate pine needles.

Today? Grandparents who buy the "Santa" gift. Now I have to return mine and think of something else. ( I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings and need to be grateful right?)

ONE of my many pet peeves is the large dept. stores (i.e. Macy's) don't add any additional sales clerks at the registers. Same one or 2 overworked sales associates assisting loooooong lines of holiday shoppers. I understand their need to cut costs but come on! :angry:

Especially, the PARKING, or lack there of!And what's up with the 20+aisles and only about 4-5, open?:angry: I know lots of people that REFUSE, to shop there! Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. I just can't get around the convenience, in one stop shopping!:roll: Plus, my main reason is for the great selection of Merlot and better pricing!

holiday pet peeves!! only DD! way to go. wench grinch.



1. boxing and shipping gifts is a pain in the buttocks.
2. never seeming to have the time to just do the little funn things like baking, making ornaments and other funn creative holiday things, etc.
3. hang overs during the holidays.
4. putting the lights on the tree (tomorrow!)
5. having christmas holidays start before thanksgiving (makes me hyperventilate).
5. there is always ONE more gift to buy. always.

I'll add more later. mostly, I love the holidays. staying in sowal for christmas is the best thing ever. relaxing. and a real vacation.

People in line getting frustrated by waiting in line--it's the holidays, you're shopping, what do you expect? Last weekend in line at the Banana Republic outlet, the guy behind me sighed loudly and heavily so many times I was about to offer to teach him some yoga breathing exercises.

I know, people seem to be more impatient than ever during the holidays. as if they should not have to endure such things.
