didnt know where to post this....
but anyway, I am thinking about adopting two 1 year old Labrador puppies- brother and sister- from someone who just cant keep them anymore. the owner doesnt want to split them up (I do understand)....BUT!!??
am I INSANE ? for even considering this? ,,,I have an 18month male Lab already,,,,I wanted to adopt another puppy,,,but TWO OF THEM????
What advise can anyone who has three dogs living in their house give to me?
Is it total pandemonium? can there be peace and harmony in a 3 dog household?
thanks for any advise!

just make sure that all of your furniture is edible b/c lab pups love to chew. Three lab pups isn't too bad, except during the training, but three full grown lab tails in full swing can be hazardous to all things in the path. Lots of loving, though. I hear that labs are good bird-dogs, so be careful! I have only two dogs, and while they are wonderful to have around, I don't think I could handle a third.

I have a lab puppy and a schnauzer and a bunch of kids and it is wonderful pandamonium here.
My sister is a better example though. She has two Jack Russells (mother and daughter) and a GIANT schnauzer (100 pounds). There is a lot of vacuuming to be done and when someone knocks at the door all #@$ breaks loose. Otherwise, as long as she stays on top of discipline with them, especially the Sit/Stay/OK at feeding time, then things are never too terribly bad.
Do you have a big yard and plenty of money for food and vets? Those are the biggies, I think. If we didn't have a yard that the dogs have total access to, this would never work.

do have a fenced yard and live near the bay for daily swims.....I already vac once a day....so whats another pound of hair?

do I have lots o' money!! ha! ha ! ha!......but then again,,,most people dont have kids b-cuz they can afford them either.......

my considering this is an insanely emotional process and not a lick of logic I suppose,,,,but I cant seem to help myself,,,,Labradors are just sooooo much funn!

As long as you look at it as a long-term committment and you can live with that, then go for it. We have three dogs, it isn't always easy but I wouldn't have it any other way.
