I started an announcement which to me was notable. South Walton has always had a diverse population of differing opinions. It also has never been able to agree on anything. For one segment of our population to over-rule all others and make policy is not a democracy, nor is it showing any mutual respect for another human being. We may not all agree, but surely we can have enough self control to coexist without acting like children. Mud slinging only shows the world who and what you are, and stifles constructive progress. You may not agree with me, but I live here, and have for a long time; and am a part of many who have the same manner of living. This is a small community, eventually you will run into people that you may not like, and will have to deal with it. This bitterness is a cancer and left unchecked, is a destructive force. If you really love SoWal, I recommend that you find some peace for the betterment of our entire community.

The photo was taken in 1969 of Blue Mountain Beach, The Way We Loved.

I'm alerting Ms. Streisand to this obvious attempt to infringe on her intellectual property. :funn:

The fact that you got a letter from the state "authorizing" you to use the image in question for private financial gain is pointless. I can print up shirts with US currency on them all day long. The only requirement upon me by the Treasury department is that I print the image 50% smaller or 200% larger than the actual size.

I think this thread shows once again how much time you seem to waste on something so trivial.

Are you going to post said letter from the State of Florida? I'm sure if contacted I could get the following quote from whoever wrote it.

Yeah, that nut job wouldn't stop calling so we sent her that form letter.

I'm confused. Is it notable that you received permission from the State? Sure seems like the thread title is about receiving permission, but your first post seems to be promoting your tee-shirts. Why not just promote that your tee-shirts are now available?

BTW, that is a cool photo of Blue Mtn Beach. I was just a baby back then, and so was South Walton.

Both. It's quite an event for me to be on conference call with FL DEP attorneys! Not every day! They had to draw up new docs.

Great, are they sending you a bill for the time wasted on this waste of tax payer money? FL DEP attorney's aren't cheap.

Bob Hudson and wrobert are you reading this thread?

It took a conference call and MULTIPLE attorneys to figure it out?
Freaking ridiculous waste of time and taxpayer money IMO.

Why do we need to pay people to completely reinvent the wheel every damn time we do something!?!
