"The United States is committed to the worldwide elimination of torture, and we are leading this fight by example. I call on all governments to join with the United States and the community of law-abiding nations in prohibiting, investigating, and prosecuting all acts of torture."
George W. Bush - June 26, 2003
The torture argument has been water boarded enough over the years. I have better things to do than argue the definition with someone who will certainly disagree with my view. The purpose of releasing this report now is political theater. Maybe a chance for McCain to take one more jab at Bush. He has never forgiven the Bush camp for those nasty phone calls many years ago in SC the night before the primary.
There are some idiots who don't understand three little but powerful words that protect our military and CIA operatives. Those three words are: NEED TO KNOW. We can inform the people necessary to govern and protect whatever is necessary to accomplish such. The whole world and general public do not need to be privy to all information. Some of it, in the past, could have gotten me and many comrades killed.
