Beachlover2!! I would never have taken you for a PR kind of girl!
(Congratulations too, by the way!!!!!)

Oh JR - If you only knew...30 years ago I was living in Wyoming and was a seamstress - sewing wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses for a living. Now I don't even own a sewing machine.

That's wild! So you have a sense of what they were going thru this last episode with the menswear construction. I thought that was a true "make or break" design challenge.

I just didn't understand why they were all so freaked out by "menswear". :dunno:

Obviously some of the details/fit/patterns would be different, but seriously, they're aspiring fashion designers and they've never altered a piece of men's clothing or designed/made anything for them or the men in their life?

because I believe (but I could be wrong ) menswear is some of the most difficult clothing to construct. It's one thing to create a draped and free-flowing dress compared to a well constructed suit. I see exactly why they'd be panicked.

Didn't see it - because I don't have Bravo right now - but you are right about menswear. Don't you know Wyoming is the fashion capital of the world:yikes:

Hey - it was a way to make a living while staying at home with my baby son. I actually enjoyed it for a few years.

A suit is definitely more work then a drapey dress, but they were acting like they had been asked to reinvent the wheel.

My thought was that a jacket, blouse, or pair of trousers has the same number of pieces & sewing whether it is on a man or woman.

Steven made a nicely tailored suit in the first challenge, little twerp boy or "azriel" made an ugly complicated & tailored jacket in both of the first 2 episodes and they had less time and $ for both of those challenges. :dunno:

I would have loved to see some hilarious creatvity too. I bet Tiki is a good enough sport that he'd have sported a kilt etc.

It all looks hard to me. I made curtains for my daughters classroom. But that was "see spot run" sewing. There was no waist band, sleeves or button holes in my her little curtains. I admire anyone that can create, sew and then wear it.

Just a reminder that it's on tonight after the LONG holiday break! I can't even remember who is still remaining.
Mr. JR has asked me each Wed. night if PR is on! :funn:
