I, too, did a drive thru this morning. Some small stumps still flaming, one less than 10 feet from the little white old cottage on the northern most street in the West section of Magnolia Beach. It was amazing to see the fire burn completely around the several houses. You could tell that the fire dept and homeowners had been watering their entire lot.
I saw one small pull behind flat bed trailer that had the tires melted, but saw no other property damage. I wonder about a couple of the boats tied to docks.
Regarding fires, thank James Hardi for inventing cement fiber boards for siding. That is one of the best fire protections for exterior fires. Also, having the underbrush cleared out from near your house is also very helpful to protect homes. I know of several homes in that area which had mostly cleared or low landscaped yards.
