Puppies Need A Home!!!!

People sending rude PMs to someone posting that they have a dog who needs a home is NOT nice behavior, but the advice people have been posting on this thread HAS been polite and it is more cautionary than critical in tone.

Far too many "cute puppies" get neglected, abused, and ultimately euthanized because folks don't understand the commitment of owning a dog. Sorry if my post hit a nerve, it was a general addition to jdarg and mango's posts after hearing about the doggie diaper genie, not a personal attack.

I get my fix by playing with other people's dogs.

Me too! Just had a week w/ my 6 month dark chocolate lab "nephew", milk chocolate "cousin" and my german short hair pointer "little sister". I'm now in puppy withdrawal!

I'd love one of my own, but just can't take care of one properly right now .

My point was- unsolicited advice isn't always welcome. I don't like being told that I shouldn't have a dog because I am young and careless (that is the feeling that came across.) This is a general statement as well- and not aimed at one person. This goes for all involved. This wasn't a forum for advice- it was to find the dogs a home- and apparently they have found one.

If you don't want unsolicited advice or comments, don't post your life info on an internet message board. We became a lot more involved than we really wanted to in this drama.

I think many lessons were learned on this thread. I am sorry for everyone involved that there was no happy ending here, despite the best efforts of some very wonderful people.

I think it wasn't my life being posted- it was a request for someone to find a home for dogs. I wanted to be the home. This wasn't a post asking for advice. Again I have had about 5 private emails from people who think ya'll are jumping on me for no reason and they don't post here because everyone is so judgemental. I on the other hand will just tell your to keep your advice to yourself. I was also told that asking me to give all of my things away is plain rude. It's as if everything said on here needs a devil/angel to play out all sides. There wasn't even an arguement here- just a bunch of peoplke who wanted to add their 2 cents when it wasn't necessary.

The dogs have a home. Thread should be closed.
