Injury was minor...in fact,
it made me feel young, again! I
skinned my knee falling on the granite pathway down to the view (with shellphone in hand to take a pic!) of Thunder Hole* at Acadia National Park. Went down on right knee (I was w/o das boot, dammit) and luckily just bled profusely from a cut and have granite rash. A wonderful Amish couple helped me up and Mr. K (who was down at the view point) heard the commotion and knew before he turned around that I had gone down.

Got first aid at the gift shop (I was second victim in 10 minutes) and wound supplies (including, hydrogen peroxide, LuLu!) in Bar Harbor.
* ...this was my most anticipated stop, as the the ocean was to crash on the rocks and spray us with water! Pucking low tide! I now refer to this place as Thunder a-Hole. We had already driven to the top of Cadillac Mountain (in our Buick) for a total fog out and no views.
Bat Harbor was by far the most touristy stop for us (other than Old Orchard Beach, where we did not actually stop!). They do have great excursions because of their location....puffins, whales and a ferry to Nova Scotia!
We returned home yesterday afternoon. Mermy...another upgrade!

sarafunn is a most excellent dog/house sitter!

If you have the chance...don't delay...visit Maine, pronto!
edit: meant Bar Harbor, but I would like to visit Bat Harbor (maybe that is a place in Austin!)
