So, I have a question...what's up with your avatar and screen name. I am sorry to say that the fish face is staring at me and becoming annoying! ...this observation is funny coming from my avatar, I know.

Being Southern to the core, I know of the many nuances of "y'all". Given that it's similar to "ain't", I don't know if there is a "right way" to spell it, but I'll bow to your grammatical interpretation.....excepting that I retain rights to the use of the plural "y'all's" at my discretion, since it demonstrates the possessive form of "y'all" more correctly IMHO than "all y'alls".

As for my avatar, I think that, of those available from the site (which I took on short-notice, over use of no avatar), Nemo represents my personality fairly well, though I will work on finding a less-offensive one to use for the long haul. And, after reading, and listening, to you and DD, I agree that all y'all's avatars seem to fit your respective personalities well.....no offense intended (I'm just agreeing with you).

Actually you are both wrong.
First with the spelling of the slang contraction for you all. That would be y'all because you are shortening Ya. It is a backwards contraction. The full spelling would be Ya all and does not need an apostrophe.
Now if you want everyone to come then all ya all or all y'all would be correct.
If you are discussing the possessions of everyone then that would be all ya all's or all y'all's. Either way is proper.

Can y'all tell that I don't want to do any of the work or chores laid out before me today.

I'm thinking this is yet another example of "y'all say tomato", and "we'uns say toemahtoe". And attempting to impart "proper" Southernisms is counterintuitive! It's like trying to teach a cat to bark.....

Of course both the armrests on a plane/in a theater belong to me!

The only exception is if I am so disgusted by the person next to me on the plane that I don't want to risk touching them. One seatmate was so nasty I put a magazine over my arm to ward them off and my skin was still crawling.

Head's up comes from the world of theater and cranes. The term is more direct than "lookout". Generally the object to be aware of is over head and by yelling head's up people are likely to look up and be able to move. It's only used as a warning during normal operation. If something is falling the more appropriate term would be "RUN!"
