SOMEONE STOLE MY iPHONE OUT OF MY TRUCK! PARKED IN FRONT OF MODICA! i hate that! spring breaker walks by see's my phone jacked in because the battery is dying and opens the door swipes it!

:angry: that would make me mad also! It is a shame that there is not a way to trace stolen cell phones!

While living in SoWal I dont think we ever locked our doors to our house or our car. So no, I dont think you are nuts.

How long ago was the Sowal mini-crime wave? People stealing Ipods, bikes, surf boards etc. Is it becoming an annual event?

We need law enforcement to set up some good sting operations. Unlocked vehicles with ipods, and hidden cameras.

Or we could just make more of a concerted effort to lock up valuables instead of leaving them in plain sight. Some of the thefts were larger scale/planned, but we can certainly help out the po-po by reducing spontaneous crimes o' opportunity.

No, that's definitely someone being a punk!

All I am saying is that I would rather someone put up the window and locked the car to keep someone from stealing several hundred dollars worth of electronics than have our limited law enforcement resources setting up a sting operation.

A Sowal sting streaming live might be the ticket!
