WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

Just in the last 24 hours - staggering around my yard drunk at 2 am, constantly giggling and screaming (do NONE of them have decent parents?), ditching bikes in the bushes and along the bike path (I've counted 8 so far), a dog coming out the window as they drove down 395 at 55 mph (thought it was Molly, then realized it wasn't cute enough and Miss Kitty hadn't had time to pack), such a complete disregard for stop signs or brake lights I can't begin to fully verbalize it, noone can ride a damn bike or cross a street, being incredibly rude to people who work here, and the creme: the twits driving the white Passat (Gwinnet county starts w/ WT and I mentally added a "f" for their driving) down 30-A constantly honking and screaming at the SUV of boys in front of them and waving their GD snowcone/slushie thing out the window while they blew through the light/stop sign at 395!

Manners, driving school, and a pucking bit of common sense please! :bang:

No luck finding a replacement quilt...bought it at Pizitz in 2003. I did have the receipt...eat that suckers.
Our last set of renters "misplaced" one of the shams in one of the master bedrooms. Well, I am willing to buy mismatched shams for kids rooms (the shams for the linens in one of those bedrooms was missing two years ago--I loved that pattern, but replaced the shams with a solid color:bang:). But not willing to do that in a master bedroom. Problem is, I can't find anything I like to replace the entire set. :bang:The renters will have to pay for a completely new set of linens.

Also we have a kids' bedroom with twin beds. One of the dust ruffles is missing. How does a renter think that a cleaning service would see two beds, side-by-side, where one has no dust ruffle? Do they think they can get by with that?

Mother-effers. Thankfully, our current rental management company agrees with me regarding renter liability. The former rental management company would just throw up their hands and say that it's just the cost of doing business. Bull$hit.

Can you make them redecorate the whole house? That's what I would do if I could! :D

Why can't you just buy 2 shams in a contrasting color or accent pattern? :dunno: If it drives you nuts, maybe nice matching linens for when you visit and a combo for the renters.
P.S. Are you renting to kleptos? Who steals a dust ruffle?

I have Peacock Alley for us. But frankly it's too much trouble to change all of that out when we arrive and leave. I really want the house to look nice for our rental guests. Mismatched shams just aren't up to the standards of our home.

Rental management says probably someone puked on a dust ruffle and threw it in the trash. They said that just recently in another rental, someone threw a very expensive duvet cover in the trash because someone puked on it. By the time they were told this, WM had already picked up the trash.

When you have an upscale home, everything needs to match. So if one piece is damaged/lost/whatever, it all needs replacing. People who pay to rent upscale houses expect upscale linens.

I actually had a renter complain because the shams in the kids bedroom didn't match the duvet covers. Well, a previous renter had "misplaced" the shams. The pattern on the duvet covers worked so well with the color scheme that I hated to replace them. So I just got two solid-colored shams. And they complained. Well, I complain because people disrespect our home. :pissed:

Such a shame that the high class renters who keep puking on your linens are so particular about matching shams.

Comforters, shams, and pill-ohs mio!

Stop spending money on comforters, shams, and throw pillows. Overstocked.com, Target, and Wal-Mart are your friends. Bite the bullet and buy cheap crap.

Miss Kitty I'll show you the house in WaterColor that has several $5,000.00-$20,000.00 model sale boats in it. When the owner was warned she pointed out the art glass in the drawers and said, "It's all my husbands crap, I don't care". I left before something finally got broken, but I'm sure it was a hoot.

I always look in Cerulean Park on the off chance one of the boats is floating in the pond. :D

It is counter-intuitive, isn't it?

I am still trying to wrap my mind about the idea that someone would go on vacation, rent a completely furnished house, and then complain that the kid's shams didn't match well enough.

I could see noticing it, I could see commenting on it - if it was representative of the house decor or poor housekeeping, but ............. :dunno:

Basically, I just keep thinking "damn, that person needs a vacation and a sphincter relaxer".
