The new mother of octuplets wants to breastfeed!!!!

I can't imagine having eight. When I was on infertility drugs, the doctor made me agree to selectively reduce if I had more than two. I agreed because I didn't want to risk having a bunch of babies with a high risk of long-term health problems. That's what the Today Show doctor predicted for the octuplets born this week.

It should make you think about infertility treatments. The Today Show doc implied that it was unconscionable that the doctor probably implanted too many embryos and that they didn't selectively reduce. That's a huge religious and ethical decision, I realize that. In my situation I was trying for a second child. If I went for eight, I would fail due to the same problem as in the movie Baby Mama. So we chose to reduce if we got that far. We never had to make that actual decision.
