It's been reported that Britney Spears has given birth to a
baby boy. After the baby was delivered and the doctor slapped
him on the butt the child spit out some chewing tobacco.

Man... that sucks!! I quess I was lucky. I wonder if that anesthesiologist knew what he/she was doing? Nothing more fun than getting a huge needle stuck in your back 3 times in one birth... Thats just not right!

Various responses...

Ohio, your wife's a doula!? COOL!

Any practitioner that agreed to do a C-Section purely for "convenience" is a sorry excuse for a doctor.

I hope they are saving their clams, cuz I think Brit's 15 minutes are about up.

I was given a saddle block while fully dialated, with my first. (Could have just pushed twice and been done, but nooo...) Imagine having to lie completely still for five minutes with a needle in your spine at full dialation. That's five full-force pushing contractions. That's hard to do.

Ocean Lover, too funny about the basement! I agree 100%.

What's a doula? Is that like a hippy or something :dunno:

 It's like a labor coach, looking out for the mother and child's best interests. They are usually very supportive of natural (unmedicated) childbirth.

I heard severl months ago that many "Stars" opt to get a c-section at 8 months gestation to avoid nasty stretch marks and all the lovely body changes that come during month 9. I wonder if this is the case because her due date was never made public ("sometime in September") and I haven't heard weight/length of the baby. If he is small, he came early.

I'm very surprised that they chose such a normal name.

My son was born six weeks early...and I still got the stretch marks!!!! and he only weighed 4 lbs. 8 oz. If that is the reason she had a C-Section, I hope she still got her stretch marks..sorry, Brittney fans...just MHO.
