Remove the Confederate Monument and flag from the Walton County Courthouse

Choosing sides is not the answer unless your goal is conflict. If the goal is truth there is only one side. If the goal is wisdom then we should listen to all sides.

Despite having relatives that served in the revolutionary war forward including both sides of the Civil War, we celebrate our American heritage. Some of us just happen to live in the South.

It is the go to excuse they use to defend any public display of confederate symbols.
If getting angry makes you feel better go for it.
I’m also southern born and these people piss me off with their continued defense of the confederacy as something to be proud of.
The vast majority of these were built between the 1890s and 1950s, which matches up exactly with the era of Jim Crow segregation.

You are not getting it. We must move forward and improve from the past. It most definitely was a lost cause because slavery is morally wrong. Period. And trying to dress is up in some southern heritage costume is condoning not only slavery, but insurrection in the name of slavery. We must try to improve as a specie or the past will drag us into the depths of ignorance.
