Last Bimini Trip

Greg took his final adventure to Bimini exactly one year ago. He had excitedly planned and looked forward to spending a week boating and fishing with his good buddies Larry and Pratt. Greg knew & told me before leaving that it would be his last trip. I asked if he expected to return... he thought deeply for long moments before answering "Yes. I'll be back."

One day he called me from Bimini and said he'd decided not to go fishing with the guys that day; opting to spend the day alone visiting his old favorite spots. One of his solitary stops was an old cemetery overlooking the ocean. This is a very special and meaningful photo that Greg snapped on his final visit to Bimini.

Veterans Day Salute

Greg was a Viet Nam war veteran. Because he could rarely be coaxed to talk about his war experience, it was a bit surprising that Greg's wish was to float away on the Veteran's Day ebb tide. One year ago today, a small group gathered on the dock to carry out GTF's final directive "pour a cocktail, troop down to the canal, toss me in the water, and raise a toast!"

Greg's lifelong friend Larry did the honors of gently sprinkling our beloved Greg onto the outgoing tide. Evidently we were being too sad and somber for Greg's liking... so to lighten the farewell moment, as he drifted towards the bay his ashes formed into the shape of a great giant penis! We 'heard' him calling back
"Last chance to call me a big DICK... !!!!"

To the very end (and beyond) GTF's personal mission was (and is) gifting us with eternal laughter!
Mission accomplished Specialist Gregory T. France! Salute
