DIT--this is good to know. I'll keep you posted as soon as I figure out how to use the thing.

Dog and cat should be interesting.

Just got a new one for Christmas. I'm not so sure yet. I have hardwood floors and tile, it seems to miss a lot. It drives me nuts to watch it because it just seems to wonder all over the place. I've only used it twice so will withhold judgement a bit longer. I do like the way it talks to me when I push the button, it sounds like R2D2.:D

thanks. I'll be interested to see how it does on this effing carpet that we installed anticipating selling this house. Hope we don't have to live with it for the next ten years. (i'm sorry, i probably sound bitter) I'm excited about the Roomba though.

There's one that does tile and hardwood, it sprays and then squeegees.

We have 2 roombas and we love them. Its also amusing to watch our littlest schnauzer stalk and attack them while they are working.

We always haul one to SoWal and have it programmed to sweep the broad expanse of tile in the main living area in the middle of the night. Each morning when we come downstairs we find it in its recharging station with a load of sand in its bin. Not quite sure where all the sand comes from?

At home, we dock the 2 roombas in a nice quiet, secluded spot, hoping that we'll be surprised by the appearance of a 3rd little baby roomba one morning. That plan hasn't actually worked so far.:dunno:
