Mine was the Exorcist. Hated it. Still hate it. Heard that pucking theme this morning and then thought about it all pucking day.
What movie scared the bejeezus out of you?
I had read the book previously, which was much scarier! Your mind tends to really run amuck with scary images....I saw this movie in Junior High while I was babysitting. BIG MISTAKE! I ended up calling my Mom because I was so scared!
"May" is probably the creepiest/scariest movie to me. VERY unusual & offbeat but good.
DD, I'm with you, I have always hated The Exorcist. But i LOVE the theme song, Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. I listen to the full 25 minute track several times a year.
I was just talking about this on my FB page. I watched a movie with Liv Tyler the other night called The Stranger and I was spooked all night Tuesday and all day yesterday.
Not what I was expecting. I ran around the house checking all the locks and windows. I put the alarm on while I was home (haven't done that in Cod knows how long) Then, the rain came and it was diagonal, but it sounded like someone tapping on the window. And, it wasn't just night scary, it was day scary, too. There wasn't much gore or blood, either. It was just real life scary.
The last movie that freaked me out like that was The Blair Witch Project. I only watched it because a friend of mine was the Producer. Same thing. Freaked out for days.
Although it's not really a Holloween type scary movie, Alien remains one of the best horror movies of all time. Every frame has something ominous in it, plus the alien is completely different in all it's different "phases".
