Trying to envision a month when spending more than three hours at a time in Seaside is a good idea...can't think of any.

December, January and February are my go to Seaside months. And sometimes on Saturdays any time during the year before the new crowd hits town. Some of my favorite shops and restaurants are here.

It is by far the busiest October I have ever seen, not just in Seaside. Probably a by-product of the pan-damn-ic. Or maybe it's just a sign of the times... (sigh)

Agreed. Every day is like July on 30A right now, a never ending wave of tourists. IMO, it is largely due to the pandemic, no kids in school and everyone working from home. Hard to see how this could continue indefinitely.

And it's only going to get worse. My parents had a home in Seagrove Beach for more than 20 years and we used to love it there. And Seaside is simply a contrived, trendy place designed to separate people from their money. There are plenty of other places to go where there are nice beaches without the crowds, traffic and overpriced stuff.

Do not ever stay at Seaside in October.

I wonder if this is pandemic related and/or timing in October. I’ve gone in October and had a great, non crowded time, but am sure not to go around Columbus Day as that’s when the southern schools seem to cluster their fall breaks. We go during the last two weeks of October which I like because the butterflies and dragonflies often have their migration during that time. Wonder if things will calm down once this week passes and/or the kids are physically in school?

But when they are there? Agreed, unbearable, and avoid at all costs. There are just too many. I like kids but the overcrowding isn’t very fun.
