Seen any good movies?

I liked Flightplan too. I kinda figured out the plot but it did not spoil my enjoyment. Agree about Foster's performance. I also enjoyed the interior shots of the plane.

I saw A History of Violence yesterday and I am still deciding what I think about this movie. Good performances but some of the dialogue seemed off to me. Stay away from this film if you do not care for graphic violence or explicit sex.

Anyway, I post on several forums and some of the folks I am chummy with call me LBH for short, but, boy, I loved the other "translations," especially the "late, but hungover" one - that's really me. As for the username, not really a story to go with it; I'm Linda, he's Bob and the word Hat is prominent in our last name; and it's always me doing the posting. If he's online, he's working, the poor man - he hasn't learned to enjoy the computer. Des Plaines (which gets a pretty American pronunciation around here) is a suburb of Chicago. My fascination with the board stems from 2 fairly recent trips to the Panhandle - first to PCB and then to Destin. Next time we hope to "get it right" and stay somewhere in between!

I agree. The lady next to us stayed in her the seat the entire movie but still couldn't keep up...she kept asking her husband to explain what was going on.

We enjoyed the movie..I'm glad we went to see it. Awesome airplane....multi-level, lounge, great bar, one heck of a first-class area!

Another one I enjoyed was March of the Penguins. Wasn't sure how I felt about going to the movie to watch a documentary about penguins, but it sure give you an appreciation of what these little guys and gals go through to survive! Great scenery too!

Aha.
I mentioned above that I was still deciding how I felt about A History of Violence.
I just read a review that said this film was based on a graphic novel. Now the pulpy dialogue makes sense, it is a little bit like the movie Sin City--many of the scenes are a little bit exaggerated and can make the viewer feel a bit uncomfortable.
But I think this is what the director intended: to make us examine ourselves and how we feel about violence.
(Similar to the movie Crash and the way it makes us confront racism.)
