The teabagger movement has given license to every extremist to spew his/her bile without shame. Not all teabaggers are extremists, but when you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas. Just looking at some of the signs at the rallies shows how vile some of these people are. I would be ashamed to be associated with any movement where these things happen. Like I said, Tim McVeigh would feel right at home at a teabagger rally. KKK, too.

The spitting and racial slurs were made up by the Democrats to turn focus away from what they are doing. Discredit those who disagree with you. It's the Alinsky way. Dems have been digging themselves into a massive hole. It wont be long before they are covered over with sand.

I look at the Republican party as a dementia patient under hospice care.

OMG a peaceful protest! How horrible. I thought you had some pics of them flippng cars, lighting fires and looting stores. You might not agree with them nor do I on some points but to label them violent is absurd. If a single video of tea party violence existed do you think the liberal press would be airing it on every outlet available?

Innocent until proven guilty is out the window when it comes to politics right? Show me the video instead of accusing folks of dementia in need of Obamacare.

Dems want republicans and tea party folk to get violent and rude, why is that? In reality it was the GOP's office that received bullets. The bullets have been forgotten yet the made up racial slurs continue to take precendence.

The Republican office was shot by a moron randomly firing a gun in the air - it was not a target or intentional. (just another moron "baring his arms")

However, the fact that multiple offices, governors, and elected representatives have been threatened for their voting record or mainstream beliefs speaks volumes about the current state of politics and "acceptable" behavior.

I never thought they weren't peaceful, I do think they advocate violence.

Did you read the sign? A man wearing a hat that says "Man of Faith" holding a sign with a racial slur, which it looks like was purposely misspelled as though that makes it "not count". Lovely. A real leader. I can certainly justify staying at a rally where he is one of the organizers and expecting real solutions to our problems.

I know that anti-war, anti-Bush protesters marched with signs that accused Bush of horrible things. As I have said before, they were NOT being egged on by Democratic members of Congress, nor were members of Congress speaking at rallies where idiots were parading around with "Bush is a terrorist" signs.

The conservatives I respect are keeping their distance.

That's Dale Robertson. He showed up at a rally in Texas and they booted his ass out.

I think these in all fairness well represent the majority of those attending these rallies. It is right in line with some family of mine who did attend or would have liked to have attended.

G

I wasn't referring to the signs, all of which seem pretty tame to me. Comparatively though, some of the stuff I've seen from the left is far more extreme. For example, a picture of Bush with a gun shot in his forehead? What would be the reaction if someone showed up at a tea party rally with something similar? Thankfully, stuff like that isn't take place.
