Re: South Walton's got the Crud

Looks like I found the right place. Ugh.....low grade fever, bad cough, body aches. I went to NOLA and all I got was the nasty crud! I am thankful I didn't get the digestive portion of this! Just made a call to the dr. My head is exploding!

Get well my pals!

You Rockets are late to the party. I think everyone is on Crud round 2 and 3- consider yourselves lucky, I guess.:sosad:

2 words- sinus flush. Hope y'all feel better soon.

Nadi (sp?) pot, those things are great. Just get the salt to water mix right. :yikes:

Now that the crud is waning, the pollen has appeared. My car is covered in green dust and my eyes and nose are itchy. On a positive note....SPRING is on the way!!!!!

In some cases I hear it's a flu outbreak. However, I also heard that the pollen count in Atlanta today was 473 and I did see a light layer of some larger pollen particulates on my car this afternoon, so it could also be sinus problems depending on where you are?

The hospitals here are running out of beds and the pharmacies are out of Tamiflu! I had to go get some over the counter stuff. I am glad my doc doesn't just dole out the antibiotics and I really hope I didn't need them! I slept a good part of the day and feel a bit better.

sarafunn still has fever (day 4) and slept for 15 hours straight! :sosad:

Sinus problems here. Not complaining. The flu is way worse.

A report from the infectious disease frontline in Miramar Beach:
Yes, the crud is here. The typical story is that there is initially a runny nose, followed by a scratchy throat, followed by sinus fullness and then a non-productive cough and sore throat due to post nasal drip. There may be some fever thrown in as well as a general feeling of malaise and aches. A few tips-get a NeilMed sinus rinse kit;about $13 at CVS, Walgreens or Publix. This will get the mucus and surface irritants out of your nasal passages and sinuses much more efficiently than any prescription or OTC remedy. Keeping sinus and nasal inflammation down is the key to quicker recovery-flush, flush, flush.

My kid has had it for two days. He would sleep, wake up and eat, sleep, eat, eat, eat, sleep. He is 13 so I don't know if the appetite is a symptom or just him. He complained of serious headache and a sore throat. I have had him quarantined but he is starting to bounce off the walls now. I guess I have to let him out in general population again.
Instead of buying sinus flush can't we just go dunk ourselves in the Gulf?
