DD.....I started walking the track at the high school down the street from me......holy cow it's hot!!! I went Saturday morning and it was in the upper 90's by nine o'clock  so now I leave the house about eight at night and I can get about three 1/2 miles in before I melt completely!!!!! I am 100% motivated and ready to get in shape!!!! both of my kids (11 and 12) go with me, they love it too  they also kick me in the butt when I really don't feel like going......I love those two

Just be careful. I just saw on the news that a teenager in Ga. collapsed from heat stroke in Ga. after football practice. He didn't make it. How ridiculous that a school would have outdoor strenous activities on such a hot humid day. :bang:

You won't belive this but.......my son just left for soccer practice!!!!! I even called the coach to make sure they were having it, I told him he was nuts!
(I tend to tell people how I feel with no problem) ;-) I did send the hubby to make sure Tommy was ok, he will pull him off if he feels it is too much.

It hasn't gone well!! :bang: I did eat a bunch of watermelon, and some applesauce, but things went a little haywire when my co-workers ate FRIED CHICKEN, MASHED POTATOES,SLAW,FRIED OKRA & BISCUITS in front of me at lunch--the bat turds! :pissed: QUOTE]
:rotfl: :rotfl: I'm laughing at you calling them bat turds. I love it.
All that watermelon will flush the other stuff from your system. You are doing GREAT! It's not what you do sometimes, it's what you do most of the time that counts.

They are bat turds--all of 'em! My boss keeps telling me he's got to lose 18 lbs. before going on vacation in sept. and so yesterday, we go to lunch and i am a good little girl and have that chicken sandwich on wheat. And what does he have but a BACON CHEESEBURGER with DOUBLE CHEESE!! Bat turd!

Here's one for you...

There is this really good vegetarian place down here by my apt. There is this stuff I always order called Seitan. Does anyone know if this is good/bad for you? I know not all vegetarian stuff is necessarily good for you so I was curious if any of you knew....

P.S. No AC in spinning today.

Hey!! Maybe I need to get some of this stuff!!

Seitan is a meat substitute. It is made from wheat gluten and is quite high in protein and low in fat

and I say....

No A/C, No spinney!

Nice! I need to look it up. They serve it with brown rice, kale and acorn squash. It's in a really light ginger sauce. Good to know it's not super bad for you.

Spinning was so rough. I felt sick when I got out. I mean soaking, dripping wet.

Just returned from 13 hours at an amusement and water park - it was hotter than hell. Screw the diet- it was about survival today. All the sugary pink lemonade I could drink. Hamburger, FF, funnel cake, ice cream, more pink lemonade, chicken fingers, chocolate chip cookies- there wasn't much to do in the shade but eat like pigs and fit in with 99% of the park attendees.

I have one comment about tattoos. If you are considering getting one, please consider it's location- and where it will be 10 years and 50 extra pounds from now. Also don't try to submerge them in chest hair, back hair, etc. I think it was "Tragic Tattoo Day" and nobody told us. We stopped pointing them out- they were all so awful.

I may not eat for days after my fat consumption (both internal and visual) today.
