I hear ya, Smilin' Joe. Red Rocks was the biggest venue I would choose anymore, and even then it had to be someone I really liked, such as Neil Young or Mark Knopfler. When younger, the entire concert experience, with traffic, inclement weather, wasted seatmates, was an enjoyable ritual, but I am older and grouchier now.

Looks like Bonnaru will be pleasing the scenesters with the trendiest indie bands. Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket etc etc plus many old favorites.

I like MMJ but am finding Clap Your Hands an acquired, if intriguing taste.
I love that Matisyahu guy!

The second-to-last last Grateful Dead concert I went to they threw baggies of cannabis, complete with papers and matches, into the audience.
Good times.
Still have my memories, and my Europe '72 vinyl. ;-)

That is my kind of concert -- sit on the couch and watch, bathroom and fridge close by with no wait, :clap_1: but tomorrow is Mayhem.

Here is the 2006 line-up for Bonnaroo (it is no wonder why 150,000 people roll into this small community of less than 3,000 people):
 Wow! What an amazing list! I see so many acts on there I'd love to see, but I have totally lost the desire to see bands in large venues. I have really gotten old.

Cil, you know Mark Knopfler's music!! Isn't his stuff wonderful? I got hooked on him from listening to Radio Paradise (www.radioparadise.com). :clap_1:

Radio Paradise looks very, very cool. I'll have to check it out further.
I've enjoyed Knopfler since his Dire Straits days, but what hooked me on him completely was his soundtrack for my favorite of all movies,Local Hero. The soundtrack is an integral part of the movie, it enhances without intruding. Best track of all is the very last: Goin' Home.
We saw Knopfler at Red Rocks, he put on an excellent show. Some people think his baritone sounds kinda funny, but I love his voice. And his guitar playing is so fluid, while his lyrics are always good storytelling.
Yep, I like him. :)
