What was the thinking that allowed her on TV in that condition? Ratings?

She asked to be on King's show.

I found her more beautiful at the end than in her "hey day"- her bravery trumped her vanity.

She and Larry King are very good friends, and she asked him if she could come on the show so that she could "talk" to her fans. Her faith so inspired me.

Most women have vanity issues, not just Tammy Faye. So I believe it took great courage for her to appear on national TV. I never would have thought Tammy Faye would want to be seen in public being anything less than pretty. She put all those thoughts to rest by her visit on Larry King. The poor woman was so ravaged and ill from the cancer I was amazed she could even sit up. Rest peacefully Tammy.

Well, I would think that Larry King had ratings in mind to some degree when he booked her to come on the show; I mean, that's how media works, correct? In terms of what she was thinking, I would guess she graciously accepted the invitation to be interviewed because she wanted to let people know how she was doing and see that at 65 pounds and 24 hours away from death, it's still possible to be upbeat and positive.
Beachsteelers, I honestly don't think anyone forgot that--have you ever seen her named mentioned without that fact included in her bio? And, evidently, the courts decided her husband was the one primarily at fault because he did the time. Why you would want the American public to define her by that rather than the good she ended up doing is kind of sad.

Don't forget that her former Husband and her stole millions from people who trusted them. Guess people's memories are short.

No I remember. The courts took care of it, so I'll not pass judgement. That's between her and God. I wasn't a fan then or now. I was sympathic to her suffering as she was dying. It doesn't mean she's a saint. Luckily that's not asked of us.
