Does anyone have a temperpedic bed? In the store they seem great...but how about all night?

All I know is my mother in law has one and hates it and same with my grandmother. I got a foam Jamison mattress a year ago and it is wonderful (and not nearly as $$$$)

I have one

Before we bought one, we heard of people hating it and heard of people loving it.

If you like to toss and turn, it's not the bed for you. I sleep like a baby on the thing.

It's expensive but can you really put a price on a GREAT night's sleep?

The people that hate the beds -- I guess they aren't used to the foam mattress. We all grew up on the regular bouncy mattresses.

If you can arrange to spend a full night on one, do it. That's the only way you'll know. For me it only took one night.

I was a skeptic before I purchased ours but i am a total convert. I absolutely love it and recommend it. You can test it out for 90 days and get everything except delivery charge refunded.
Good luck!

I am with the proponents of the bed. While it is expensive up front, ours has a 20+ year guarantee that if it is out of shape 1/4 of an inch we get a new one. One thing to think about when it comes to cost is that most people will spend about 7-8 hours a night sleeping (I am closer to 9-10 :D ). That's one-third of your day. For me I'll pay for 1/3rd of my day to be almost perfect.

One final note, we didn't buy the pillow top version so I would be interested in what others though about that because we didn't think we would need it. We did get the thicker matress with the increased air flow, which I would recommend because the regular mattresses have been known to be hot in the summer. We got ours at Brookstone and as you can it changed my life!!! ;-)

OMG!!!!! I love mine!!!! My bf has never been a great sleeper (maybe 2-3 hours per night) and when he sleeps at my house he sleeps for 6-8!!!!! I will say, however, that I have a love/hate relationship with my Tempurpedic pillow. Run out and get the matress!!!!

We bought a temperpedic bed and just couldn't get comfortable with it. However, they did honor the 90 day return policy. Bought a select comfort sleep number bed with a pillow top and love it. Took about a week to get the settings right but once we did I've never touched it since.

I've been known to be very wrong on occasion, but I believe if you sleep on your back, you'll love it, but should you sleep face down, the "give" of the material is no good. You'll be a cranky face sleeper.

I was gonna ask about the Sleep Number bed. So you like it?

So not for side sleepers?
