on our cleanup of 395, we saw oodles of wild raspberries and blackberries on the side of the road, carzy. reminded me of wild asparagus on the roads in colo.

cil, i really do need to get to gsd. 12 years in colo, and i rarely traveled east from san miguel county, typically we'd head west into utah for water and sand. check out the weller site. i think i'm going to buy his book and film for my nephews 10 bday present.

The best two things that money can't buy are true love and home-grown tomatoes. There is a song about that. My tomatoes are growing nicely. I have three green grape-sized ones on the vine, with some squash, eggplant, zuchinni, cucumbers, green beans, sugar snaps, red bell peppers, green onions, basil, and cilantro on the way. Yummy!

Dude, all you need is a yard bird and you could make some Thai Basil chicken! My favorite:clap_1:

Funny, I have always wanted some yard birds, but they are not allowed in SoWal.

Kimmi...where have you been? Single in the Hamptons? Did you get a message last night? :D
Yo Sueshore! I went out on Saturday for the day and came back early early on Sunday for church and Easter brunch with the crew. It was so nice. Very relaxing. I can definitley get used to the new friend with the Hamptons house. Going to be nice for the summer. I was off yesterday. I got up, went to the gym, got interviewed and looked like a biggot on CNN and then layed in the park for 5 hours. Played some bocce ball on the greens in the park. Got really sunburned. This is the first time this skin has seen real sun. And I am dying now. Then we went for a late lunch, took a 5 minute breather and went to the gym for a Chisel class. Et tu?

:clap_1: Great report Kimmi! I think your new lifestyle agrees with you! What did they interview you about? Immigration?

Mr. Kitty and I left room for the locals at church and stayed home. I really wanted to go to the early beach service at Ed Walline, but Mr. K slept in. We went to the Baithouse for brunch....ate so much it lasted all day and it was so YUMMY in my TUMMY! Then we headed over for gulf front living and dominoes at Paco's house (well, when he decides to stay there!) Mr. Kitty played dommies with us! Next thing you know he will be onboard sowal.com! Later that evening we met up with Gypsea, Cap'nCrazy, their friends, seagrover, jfunn and whiteyfunn and listened to Bill E. sing at B & A's. Miss Kitty had THREE Planter's Punches. Mr. Kitty told me to grow up when I showed jfunn that I really did chew up and eat the orange rind from my drink!!! I only danced once, but I was on fire! Then I had to come home and address invitations for a law firm dinner! No telling what those looked like!

Well said, SJ, about true love and home-grown tomatoes. I'm envious of your garden (in a good way, of course). Here's what I make with some of those vegetables/herbs when everything is ripe (though I get most of my vegetables from the farmers market):

camponata (a nice eggplant/pepper/olive spread) - freezes well
a nice creamy gazpacho (recipe from the old Vegetarian Epicure book -- probably the first edition) -- freezes well
zucchini bread -- freezes well
fried zucchini flowers -- must be eaten immediately
roasted red peppers - freezes well
Pesto -- freezes well

How much did you love Gypsea and the Cap'n! :clap_1: Sounds like y'all had funn! I can't believe you had to to do the invites. Boo hiss!

CNN was doing a story about enviornmental cars. They had pictures of different cars. One was a Hummer...I said I'd like a guy who drove a hummer. Then asked me what kind of person would drive a hybrid. I said a Democrat. They made me repeat it and sent me on my merry way. It was classic. :rotfl:
