I still see nothing wrong with his comment - and my guess is that if others were looking at it IN CONTEXT they wouldn't either.
....but what if Obamas white half had said that??
Obama should apologize and quit using metaphors, they are getting quite old and boring.....He should also take a break from being on T.V everyday.Jon Stewart,The View?? How about do a Sesame Street cameo or maybe an Outdoors Show.

I think it's interesting that people who claim not to be racist can see nothing but racist remarks from the president. He's not allowed to make reference to Republicans being left behind, but another black man can make a blanket statement that every Muslim in their "garb" is a terrorist and it's political correctness run a muck.

As far as campaigning, every President has done that. Bush did it right up until 2006 when he could have cleared a room of fundraisers just by entering it.

In this day and time, due to political corectness, we all have to be careful of what we say, how we say it and who we say it too. It seems that we need to "footnote" every word that comes out of our mouth. (and if possible record it for the record.) No more just expressing one's opinion, now we have to express it so that everyone will accept it, not get hurt feelings from it, and not get their panties in a twist. If I have to do it, and Reblicans have to do it...then Democrats should follow suit too...and yea no passes just because you are the President. You of all people, who represent us all, should be the most political correct person of all.

I would love to know, never will, but still would like to know...what the travels of Obama campaigning for Democrats has costed the American taxpayers....in travel fees, protection fees, etc. I would like to know if his party paid any part of these expenses. I know that we will never get this information....but it would be an eye opener with some folks who can't pay their rent, have no jobs and are having a hard time putting food on the table....anyone else curious about the cost?

Since I fail to see anything racial in his comments, I obviously don't care about the ethnicity of whomever said it.

I also see no problem with using metaphors - aside from the fact that people are apparently too sensitive and too dumb to properly understand them.

And I enjoyed watching the President on the Daily Show last night.

The presidency is not a joke, however Obama has treated it that way.Obama has demeaned the office he holds by going on stupid talk shows and bowing to every leader he can find.I will be so relieved when we get a president that treats his office with respect and dignity.IT(office) deserves much better appreciation than what it has been getting lately.

Btw,calling the president "dude" is way out of line for ANY president but Obama let it happen by giving a comedian a platform to do so.I enjoy Stewart but for entertainment purposes only.

Aside from the "dude" comment (by the host who was on his best behavior), please review the transcript of the Daily Show and point out where Obama was "un-presidential."

I sat in my living room and watched my President answer valid questions about the first 18 months of his presidency and the direction of our country. The format of the show was even changed so that his visit was the sole focus - no political commentary or daily news.

Bowing to every world leader he can find? The fact that you object to him follow the established rules of protocol and etiquette while interacting with world leaders is just plain stupid.

My grandfather bowed to the Japanese - because that's what you do. He fought against them in WWII, then showed them the proper respect decades later during business deals.

I just finished watching Obama on the Daily Show and I was really impressed. Barack Obama is a thoughtful, caring human being who answers tough questions with candor and intelligence. I think I've been listening to too much crap from every pundit that crawled out from under a rock as to why Obama is such a socialist, Muslim grandma killer, and he just layed it out as to what he has achieved, what he wasn't happy about that they haven't quite achieved, and I'm very proud of the fact that I voted for the right man for the crisis we are enduring. I sure wish they had joked a little more, but damn, I like this president!
