My sweet grandmother in Rockford, Il. does not have much time left on this earth. One of the last places I want to go right now would probably be Rockford but after reading this thread for some reason I want to be back on her back porch just hanging out and laughing about the good ol days. Thank you Paula for reminding me it does not have to be somewhere glamorous or beautiful. I think I will go give her a call.

Always good to visit an aging relative and if nothing else, bring a good book and catch up on your reading.

It is still a beautiful photo even borrowed. The reason I recongnized it, I just spent a dinner with my niece and nephew in law looking at their honeymoon photos from there. His parents treated them to two weeks there.

HNooe, I love Asheville too and Brevard, can't wait to go back. Would love to go back to Gettsyburg, DC and New York, have not been in years. I have a niece living in Arlington I really need to visit.
