I'm with you audie... and where ya been? stay awhile...
yep, FB and bat turds are to blame. at least partially.
There is an entire online community on FB. I joined up several months ago because my BFF said I had to. I'm glad I joined up so that I could truly see if FB had anything substantial to offer to me. and I have confirmed that yes it is one big fat twitter. and NO its not my cup of tea. But, I do understand its draw..
This online community will always remain special because of the one place called SoWal we all have in common. It is a celebration of the beautiful coastal community located on the Emerald Coast in Northwest Florida. The people participating on SoWal.com over the years have built a unique online community through their commitment to come here as often as possible to visit and share all kinds of stuff!
Yes, as Darlene stated - change happens. While some friends have moved on, we've gained many others. Many of you have been here for quite a long time.

new members come and go, while new members come and stay, and old members stay around, and old members go away. I've come to understand that it is truly all the members who make the community what it is. that is why it changes. always has. always will.
I know there are times, like many of you, that I just can't come and participate. but I always catch up later. sometimes it seems as if time is speeding up and there is never enough time! so then its time to slow down and login and see what up in the lounge.
DD - maybe we should all stay in the lounge for a week and commit to funn and play. never to stray except to post a recipe, or check on an event. I think its time we do exactly that.
DD thanks for always being a part of this community - you have done much to build it, care for it, keep it close to your heart, mother it, get it tattooed on your body, and so much more.
will there ever be another penis cake thread? probably not. but you never ever know. but I do know this:
Someone is going to have to track down OL for the SoWal Ornament Exchange. Its a tradition and we must continue it whether we want to or not.
