Actually Islam believes that Jesus was a prophet and that Christians and Jews are people of the book who already share in some of the truth and tenets found in the Koran.
Koran 9:29

This is what many of our enemies believe about the rest of the worlds population:

?Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them.? Koran 2:191

?Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood.? Koran 9:123

?When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them.? Koran 9:5

?Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable.? Koran 3:85

?The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them.? Koran 9:30

?Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam? Koran 5:33

?The infidels are unclean; do not let them into a mosque.? Koran 9:28

?Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies.? Koran 22:19

?Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them.? Koran 47:4

?The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them.? Koran 8:65

?Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.? Koran 3:28
?Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur?an.? Koran 8:12

?Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels.? Koran 8:60

Walk the Walk wants to characterize Islam as a violent religion based on verses from the Koran.

Will Walk the Walk also characterize Judaism and Christianity as being violent based on the even greater number of violent verses in the Bible?

Number of Cruel or Violent Passages
Bible 1121
Quran 520

Freedom is not a restricted premise, either you believe in it for everyone, or you don't support the true foundation it was built on.

Not every Muslim is the enemy nor is every Christian a saint.

The best Christian believes and practices all men/women under God are equal and loved.

When you start to discriminate I am afraid you lost the meaning of Godly love completely.

If Jesus on the cross could forgive those that put him there, I surely think we can allow a mosque on a street where others died by those that did not truly support their religion either.

We have the freedom to cry "fire" in a crowded room but we have the sense not to do it.

We, excluding confused liberals, have the sense to not allow our enemy to celebrate on hallowed ground.

I didn't copy and paste the entire misinterpreted verses and I won't go into the misinterpretations line by line, but what you are quoting is the interpretation of radical Islamics and what every anti-Islamic publication will have you believe; which is interesting because not even Islamics can interpret the Eastern Syriac dialect of Aramaic properly, which is the language the Qur'an was written in. Also, you want to believe that the entire Islamic community still lives in the 7th century, the time period that when Mohammed lived, war was going on and when the Quran was written; which BTW, many chapters are actually borrowed from the Hebrew Bible.

Matter of fact, the correct interpretations of the The Aramaic language of the Qur'an calls for the treatment of women with decency. It doesn't tell them to cover their faces, or that men are their Masters. It also states that Jesus is united with God. The Aramaic language implies that Jesus is anointed and deliverer; he raised the dead and cured the blind. The Qur'an calls him "the Messiah".

So, next time you post more of this spam, I mean info, to this site with your expert knowledge and interpretations of the Qur'an, I'll be waiting for delivery of the school of higher learning you obtained your degree of the Aramaic language and which Islamic scholars you break bread with that you debate the meaning of the verses with.

I'm waiting.

I didn't say I was interpreting the Qu'ran. What I am trying to explain, and what you have chosen to misunderstand, is the linguistics of the Aramaic language are such that translation of the true meaning is difficult to ascertain, even for the Islamic community. If I used English as a simple example, where you put the comma in the following sentence changes the meaning:
Time to eat, Grandma
or
Time to eat Grandma.

Also, you are just quoting the first line of an entire verse. Taken in context with the entire verse, the time period written, etc., it changes the interpretation drastically.

Looks like no matter what you learn about Islam, you will choose to eat Grandma. I'm betting Grandma is bitter.

....and what does this have to do with Sharia law? Seriously, I am not trying to be a smart a..
