In that price range, two or three years is about the life span. The Sears mower above should work fine for you. If you want something that will last a lifetime then it will cost you in the 700+ range and these are ballpark figures. The Toro and Snapper lines you see in the big box stores are low level entry mowers and will not last 5 years. Just depends on what you need vs how much you want to spend. You can learn a ton from this website:

It is my favorite forum on the internet.
Have funn

EDIT: Also check Craig's List if there is one near you. I found a great Snapper mulcher with disc drive two years ago for 65.00 and love it !

Hey Mango... It looks like a nice mower & the sale prx is do-able, but the one written review wasn't good. By any chance, do you know someone who owns this mower?

Not that specific one Dune-ahh, but if you go the store, I imagine you could test it yourself or the salespeople might be of help. Just one review wouldn't stop me when it comes to Sears Craftsman products. I quickly looked at comparably priced HDepot mowers and this one looked sturdier. Plus I like the large back wheels cause it's easier to push. Just my 02.
I use rider mowers, but we have a push one for edges.
