No more pictures of Matt, I was so happy to see that whiner go. As for last night how could they not pick Stephanie. Her first meal sounded and looked so amazing and she got better from there. Last night Chef Ed was trying to figure out how one would braise a pistachio...they will be on menus across the country next week.
For me, she won it when her pork was left out over night and without losing her cool or skipping a beat, she came up with another dish and was in the top two with that!

unbelievably Lisa may have had the best meal, but how could they give the honors to such a kitchen krank? Richard just lost it, and you could tell he was trying too hard in the episode where he won the Corolla. Stephanie was a deserving winner.

Yes, she was. She never lost her cool and she consistently made good food.

I no longer stay in Dune Allen
Gotta crisp the pork belly. Many chinese dishes do not but they have much more flavorings. Richard wanted to keep it simple, as such he should have sizzled the skin and fat. bluemtnrunner is exactly right Stephanie winning was inevitable after the chicharron salad.

What is the deal with judge from food and wine or where ever she is from. She never really has a criticism until someone else does, then she goes off on the chefs skill and the flavors as if she thought their dish was bad the whole time. I have even heard her agree with one judge that a dish was good and then flip and agree with another that it was awful. Last night she really went out there when she said "...Stephanie's dessert sucked." That is not very judge-like behavior.

My favorite moment last night was when Stephanie was hovering as Eric Ripert prepped the fish for her. NOW that was cool, can you imagine. Then of course she lost sous chef Ripert to Richard's liquid nitrogen.

I'm not a huge Gail fan either. But Tom's really the one who gets on my nerves. But, who cares..it's the end of the season and our girl won!! We won't have to watch those judges til next season. My favorite guest judge is Anthony Bourdain...but I guess y'all already knew that if you've ever read any of mine and pea's posts.:wave:

Speaking of Tony, couldn't you just imagine him doing an episode of No Reservations about the northern Gulf Coast- frame it as going where people from New Orleans go on vacation, send him over to Apalach Bay for the oysters and up on a Blue Angels VIP flight, hit some of the cool local spots.

Hey, he did a coastal South Carolina episode, so why not?
