I'm watching the show tonight and one of the dishes they served had rosemary in it. The diners couldn't stop complaining about too much rosemary. :funn: I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I was taking a class at CIA (Culinary Institute of America) and someone on my team garnished the plate with a sprig of Rosemary. The instructor was one of three Master Chef Instructors at the CIA, and he gave us a verbal beating for placing inedible things on the plate. The guy who put it on the plate starting being a smart@ss and ate the entire sprig of Rosemary to prove the point, but not in front of the Instructor. He would have been sent packing.

I don't mind it, I just feel that it has been a little overused in the area. Seriously one day I expect to order an unsweet tea and get a sprig to stir in Splenda. It's such a joke that when some friends went to Ft. Lauderdale we got video of them at brunch showing each plate that came out with a sprig in it.

that just may be the best tv show currently....after The Office....was the rosemary in the underseasoned dish that had mushrooms over carpaccio?

yes we are geeks at ren faire but the rosemary is kinda cute

I believe you about the overuse in restaraunts around, though I haven't personally experienced it. I love rosemary myself-I mashed some up with anchovy paste and olive oil and smeared it onto my NY strip the other night.
