I always wondered what would have happened if Isreal had still been created, but somewhere in Europe.

Do you think the problems w/ displaced refugees etc. would have still occurred to the same extent?

Israel had real ties to the Holy Land and wanted Palestine and would never have been created in Europe. The problem of refugees will probably take years and years to dissipate and most of them have to resign themselves to possibly never returning to their homeland. Does not mean peace is non-negotiable - just means a more measured, fair and equitable re-partitioning has to take place and those not allowed to return should get some form of compensation - how one even attempts to measure this I have no idea though.

Must say that I am heartened by seeing how many people here in the US have opened their eyes to the Palestinian plight - years ago it was practically impossible to get a fair report of what was going on and the mainstream media had zero interest in reporting on it.

I will keep reading!

I am over on another forum fighting with a bunch of Muslims about the white man being the devil and one of the things they are using is us not being backed by gold and silver.
