Hey Cil...how's it going? We need an update on your new life! What will you be doing for Thanksgiving...besides being thankful you are in FL!?

The best holiday turkey I've ever had was smoked. Not salty at all--just real fall-off-the-fork tender.[/QUOTE]

Sueshore - you may be able to help me on this--

In the past we have had smoked turkeys from Texas that are UNBELIEVABLE. I can't remember the source. I do remember that the first one was a corporate gift to some family mameber and they brought it to Christmas lunch. Do you (or any other Texas posters) know of any famous Texas mailorder smoked turkey? And that is TURKEY, not TURDucken. :D

I remember when deep-fried turkey was all the rage. We thought it was a joke, maybe that the stuffing was mayonnaise. Some people swear by them. A lady brought one to my mother's house one Thanksgiving night and that was the toughest bird we ever met. It could have stood up on its own, fought two able-bodied men for the door, and walked to Mobile without losing a beat.

GB and I are LOAO!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
