Guys...I hope you'll remember where you first heard the name Ingenix.

This is a happy day. A very happy day for healthcare providers and for every American who buys health insurance.

If we just had a President who would help Mr. Cuomo turn on the lights and make the cockroaches scurry. Obama '08 -- it's time for the health insurance lobbyists to go.

I need to start posting my Mother's health care bills for discussion. Two weeks at Ft. Walton Medical, $231K billed to BCBS. They paid the negotiated rate of $72K. And now I am getting the daily doctor's bills. Got one from a local hospital yesterday for a day she never left the house. Man this stuff is confusing.

We are having some of the same issues. What I don't understand, is why is it called a negotiated rate? It appears to me that the only person who was at the negotiation table was the insurance company. My Dr offices certainly weren't there.

Where I am confused now is they put her on Home Health. We used a network facility with network doctors and then all of a sudden, without asking us, they stick her on a non-network home health agency. I am all for everyone getting paid, but these are things that should have been discussed up front. She does not have the kind of money that they are billing to her and I see no real way for them to ever get paid.

What ever happened to an honest buck?
I moved from a large manufacturing company with great healthcare to a little bitty distribution company about two years ago and the coverage available to me now is quite pathetic. Glad I'm all done growing the 4 kids so I don't have them on the ticket too.
