From what I can see from the commercials the Dyson ball doesn't look like it could go under furniture/couch. Is that a problem?

I wonder about that too... I DO like having an optional hose/wand attachment.

I had a dyson and returned it when I couldn't get in close to furniture or even in the toekick area on the bottom of my kichen cabinets. It's not just the ball but the front of it was just too tall to get under the front edge of the cabinet.

Which model do you have?

I abhor having to shop/replace things like vacuums, coffee makers, appliances, cars... but I gotta say those Dyson commercials really have me intrigued. And yes... the Ball DOES look cool. I'm convinced I could vacuum the house w/ all the agile flair of 'Mrs. Doubtfire' if I only had a Dyson Ball!!!!

I don't have the ball, so I can't vouch for that one... Mine is a Dyson DC 07 All Floors model. It is an upright with a canister, HEPA filtration, wand and a few attachments. The wand & extension hose reach all the way to the top of my stairs when the vacuum is at the bottom, which makes it much easier. It's easy to take apart and clean, and all of the parts are clearly labeled. My parents have the same model and my sister-in-law has one too, and we all rave about it.

I have the Dyson Animal - don't know the number - purple ball and it is awesome - yes, it does really suck!!! You can find them sometimes - a refurb - on Overstock.com. Can you use that 20% coupon on a Dyson from B, B and B?

I got my Roomba from B, B and B - and with two cats and one dog - it is priceless! My floors downstairs are hardwood - don't know how well it will work on carpet - but it certainly helps with the fur!

I love to be vacuuming, washing dishes and washing clothes all while on the porch. I need something to fold and iron the clothes while on the porch now! :chill:

That's what I thought. Thanks!

Dyson DC 07, that's the ticket! Thanks.
