Hubby and I are in the woods every chance we get and usually have 2 or 3 deer in the freezer before the end of hunting season,
please e-mail me and we will be glad to give you some venison,
also rabbit has the highest amount of protein and is the easiest to digest of all meats.

Do any local gourmet restaurants serve venison? I'd call and see if they can order you some from their meat supplier or would be willing to give you their trimmings.

Otherwise, there are a variety of organic farmers who raise venison and elk and have mail order services, but that can get $$$.

I know that Beach Walk serves venison.

You might want to check with the vet to see if a venison based dog food would work. I had to have a shepherd on a venison diet for a period of time, but the vet ordered a special dog food for that issue. Not cheap, but it worked very well..

Best wishes...

I want what you are having in your coffee gullfriend!!!:funn::funn::rotfl::love:

I think Punzy and I should make a field trip to Bass Pro Shop, find some girl cammo clothes, get us some sort of deer rifle, buy a big a$$ pickup truck, and head out into the woods.

When we get there, we can set up our wine and tapas bar in the cool deer stand we're going to build. While we are sipping our wine, eating our yummy tapas, and flipping through the latest issue of Vanity Fair, the deer will stop by to see what's going on, since they are probably used to beer drinking, farting men, and the sight of us will be surprising. Easy pickings.

Oops- one little problem- I don't think we could shoot anything! It would be a bad ending to a shopping trip and a great cocktail hour.

FFF's brother has some in his freezer he will give us, some of it is sliced, some cubed, some ground. What kind does she need?

My receptionist here at the clinic has two freezers full....see how Ellie wants it cut.

I will be down next weekend, let me know how much you can keep in the freezer.

I love that vet, couple of years ago Sweetie got sick in the middle of the night...funny visual.... FFF wakes me up leaning over Sweetie listening to her chest with a stethoscope .....he says "This dog is really sick she has to go to the vet" turns out she had caught the Bordetella virus from the shot she got at her B'ham vet when she had to stay there the week we were out of town. They were super and worked us in on a Saturday and treated her great. They even called and checked on her later.

Glad she's back home with you.
