We're headed for Ireland in July and would be paying a kennel $15 a day, but a 14 year old neighbor boy who is too young for other jobs is thrilled to come walk our dog 3 times a day for that amount. In the heat of the afternoon, he'll just let her out to pee.

Of course, in this situation there is no need to drive somewhere to be able to do the job so he has no extra expenses. Fancey will be much happier here than in a kennel and a kid gets work experience and a chance to make some summer $$.

Plus all that personal attention and the playing, etc.

no way... I don't see it as being that at all. It means exactly what it says.

I've made the same statement many times myself.

It's like a disclaimer... sometimes it's necessary on the board.

I understand, I guess I was clarifying what I thought elgord was going after. I don't think anyone gets flamed on this board, we have different opinions, but based on other boards I've never seen any flaming here. I guess it all depends on your definition of flaming.

That wasn't meant in jest. On this board a bad flame can mean some calling someone stupid or dumb. On other boards a bad flame usually calls into question a persons existence, family heritage, etc. Trust me when I say that this is a very civilized group compared to others. Go on a video game bulletin board and ask something like "How do I play an xbox game". You might leave crying, but you'll get my point.

I thought "flaming" referred more to posts that sort of try to start arguments, rile someone, push someone's buttons - that sort of thing. ...:dunno:

That's trolling, although sometimes a "flaming" response to a post could produce the same effect.
