Parts of New Orleans scared me more than driving through the South Bronx, and the South Bronx is pretty skeery. :shock:

Lemme tell you something - there are parts of New Orleans and Jacksonville where I won't go cuz I know my RELATIVES live there...AND I KNOW MY RELATIVES! I'd be safer yelling gangsta rap lyrics while wearing a hot-pink polkadot mankini at a Klan rally.

NOLA has always been scary.

We weren't allowed by Tulane to have cars as a freshmen. Thank God we were allowed to have our cars after that. Otherwise I'd probably be dead from all of the sketchy people in NOLA.

That being said, I love NOLA. It was great having the Tulane basketball team protecting me.

Ding Ding Ding!!!! I totally agree! Newark is mine too! My son played for Nationals in New Jersey and our hotel was near Newark airport. Do not make a wrong turn if you visit it can get dicey pretty fast!
