I'm not sure what you mean by unsolicited. I don't think too many women are going to ask a man to send pictures of his member, even if that's what they want. Tony made the first move, that's all. It's the cyber equivalent of taking it out. That's not a crime, nor is it harassment. Did they reject his advances, and did he persist? That might be a different story. This is not Clarence Thomas creepy.
Some people are stunned that he didn't know any of these women. So??? Not much different than picking someone up at a bar.
So what if they were 20 years his junior. I think it would be more disgusting if he were hitting on granny. My guess is that Tony may have had a shot with some of these girls. I was listening to Ed Shultz rip Tony yesterday and I detected more than a hint of jealousy. Ed of course was suspended for calling Laura Ingraham a slut, so obviously he does have issues of inadequacy in this area.
I won't defend his ridiculously poor judgement. No matter what I think, the fact remains that when a person's idiosyncracies are laid out for all to see, he will become the subject of ridicule, and for a politician, that means he will lose some power. He was too ignorant and arrogant to consider that he would most certainly be found out eventually.
Finally, I admit that I don't know all the details and this could just be the tip of the iceberg. I'm just going on what I know at the moment.
How is this less creepy than Thomas? Is it because Weiner is a liberal and Thomas is a conservative?
Because it's clear that Thomas disgusted Anita Hill. In this video, it's clear that of the women was not uncomfortable with the situation. She exchanged photos after much explicit sex talk. It was consensual. She still thinks he's not a bad guy. She liked his style. Watch the video and then tell me with a straight face that this bears any similarity to the Clarence Thomas situation. Then tell me that my assessment is based on Thomas' political affiliations. Absurd.

True, but you know that's got to be an icebreaker with the young women he's chatting with. You have to figure that someone will poke fun at his name, and so then you know what's on their mind. So really this isn't his fault. Yep he's the victim. I don't think there would be this much fuss if his last name were Jones. People are obssessed with the weiner. I think Time Magazine should declare the penis to be Man of the Year.
Yeah, but what if his name was Johnson?
If his name was Lee he would have been forced to resign.
I don't remember any evidence against Thomas but Hill's word. We have photos of the Weiner. Thomas was a witchhunt in an attempt to keep him off the court.
