I'm on a 1x cell tower right now, and it is much slower this morning...

SJ, how did you solve your problem?

I spent more than six hours on the phone with Alltel's technical support, stretched out over a week. Now, I use my Blackberry as a tethered modem for an additional $10 per month. It works for either of my computers, and is good to go anywhere I pick up a cell signal.
