So are you suggesting Civil War? If you are stop it. Those people are not your enemy. They are people just like me and you with opinions. They have their opinion and beliefs based on the information that they are being given by the republican party and fox news and maybe even in the pulpits. For whatever the reasons they do not need Democrats and Biden supporters to give them more reason to hate. This emotional divide must end. It may take months and years but as long as we respect each other we will get thru this. Trump will continue his emotional tirade but I am already starting to see the Republican party move away from his inflammatory rhetoric. Eventually Trump supporters will move away from these negative emotions and we can help by being respectful.
If republicans will respect the constitution, the separation of church and state, science and fact, instead of all the nonsense then they can earn my respect back. Unfortunately the red party is about to fracture in to a hundred factions including the new qanon moron group. I believe it is beyond repair. It won't be one party against another it is rational beings against the mentally defective.

Great! Now we can talk about how we as a Country can all do better to understand each other. Lets arm ourselves with kindness and respect. Every conversation must have those two elements because we are all emotional about this election. The world is watching and learning from our Democracy meaning they are watching you and me and how we are able to get our emotions more positive. If American Democracy is unhappy and angry then why would anyone want that? All we really have to do is be happy and love each other not hate. I have had hundreds of conversations with people who support Trump. They make all sorts of inaccurate statements and have strange beliefs that I don't understand or agree with. Many bring up that we are moving away from God and Country. Their opinions, beliefs and information are wrong but maybe it is time to listen to them and say something like " I sincerely hope you are wrong and maybe we should give President Biden and all democrats a chance to prove how checks and balances work in democracy. We all love this Country!"
I agree with you. But they may never separate church and state, believe in science over religious beliefs and watch something besides Fox news. That is who they are and there are over 70 million of them. This is not going to change. The Republican Party is now going to be split and whatever emerges is unknown. So the question is how do you and I respect this very large group of people who we disagree with. If it is not possible then neither is our Democracy because we are divided and angry. If it is not possible then we will not have stability in government functions, social functions and economic functions. The only way to stabilize this country is to be more respectful to each other...
The first part of your statement is in direct conflict with your conclusion. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The water in SoWal is rising and it won't stop until there is no SoWal. It's science and I am not capable of respecting people who deny it. Sadly, many children in our society are raised without empathy, or it is stripped from them, and we are paying the price. Adults without empathy aren't interested in gaining it.

The thing about not respecting people regardless of their faith and beliefs is that they are not going to change who they are just because of an election or what your expectations are of them. So depending on what your definition of happiness is you may have to lower expectations for people to change. Or maybe look at it like "it would be nice if you change your opinion or belief to mine but it is not necessary for me to be happy". A happy democracy is a good democracy

If you haven’t learned by now there is no compromise with trump supporters, there is no co-equal with them, you never will. It was comical watching them today revolt against Fox News for reporting facts they didn’t want to hear. They are not interested in anything but themselves and country first is a nonexistent concept. After four years of this watching sht I’m done. Not a single bill, or lawsuit filed by republicans has been to make voting easier. After this election the red state legislatures will immediately go about redistricting their states and it will not be for fairness or efficiency.
