I wish I could say this thread will have run its course once the prez leaves the oval office, but unfortunately....

Are you willing to compromise? Many things we agree on, some things we don't and what determines a good democracy is how we compromise on the things we do not agree on. If compromise is "done" and we do not find anything to agree on then how is that a good democracy? I hope that our democracy is not done but it is going to depend on democrats and republicans re-learning how to compromise with each other. This election is a check on abusive power so our democracy is working. Don't give up on our democracy. There will always be bad players and the republicans seem to be leading in that category but our democracy is working. Joe Biden is not done and neither are we. If Trump had be re-elected I would have had my doubts about our democracy surviving but now we have an opportunity to be a Better America. We got a lot of work to do and it starts with not giving up all hope on those 70 + million that are just as American as you and me. It has been a long long 4 years. I think I have aged about 10 years in a 4 year period from all the stress. It feels good to know that more than 73 million Americans all agree that Trump should be fired. I am ready to move on and live and let live. Time is too short to hold grudges. The one thing that is "done" is the Presidency of Donald J. Trump :)
