What hospital was Obama born in? Birth Certificate [merged]

Even if I was running for the most important job in the Country, I might not know the answer to factual, yet unimportant, information when put on the spot. Knowing the name of the hospital in which I was born has never been needed in my entire life, and if someone needs proof of my birthplace, I can show them my birth certificate. If reporters need to know the name, I'd just tell them to google it.

The name of the ladies who ran the lunchroom in my school is factual information, but I cannot tell you their names either. I do remember the name Ms Susie being one of the ladies, but I bet there are thousands of Ms Susies in the world.

Realistically, we don't need a gov't certificate to prove that we were born, just as we don't need a death certificate to prove that we no longer exist.

who knows? There are plenty of gov't buildings which have caught fire in the past, burning all records, such as deeds, so I wouldn't be surprised to find out that a hospital had burned. My dad once showed me the location of the hospital where he was born. It was an empty lot when we looked at it. No hospital name marking the property either.

Maybe Obama is lying about being born in the USA, but maybe, the name of the hospital in which he was born, if it was in an actual hospital (some babies are born in taxi-cabs or at home. Maybe his mom was poor and couldn't afford a hospital birth.), is something that is in Obama's mind, unimportant.

From what I have read, he doesn't say that. He says he can't remember which hospital. If a hospital was destroyed SJ, then that information would be in public records.

I think we really need to hold off before we can safely assume that John McCain really is this great American who served his country. POW? Well, maybe not, folks!!!

After all, why would these stories doubting who he is actually be posted on the Internet and talked about if there wasn't some sort of truth to them...

I also heard that Sarah Palin doesn't actually exist...

I know you are being sarcastic, but there is a lawsuit pending about the birth certificate. The lawsuit is hoping to get a Supreme Court decision not a fact check decision. Which, if there was a record at a hospital where Obama thinks he was born, it would be a moot point.

Maybe this information is wrong; I was just asking for clarification?

Not everyone was born in a hospital. I'm sure my son doesn't know now, nor will he remember when he is 40 that he was born in a birth center. He might remember being born in North Carolina. I also doubt that it will dawn on him to think to check the records of a town 80 miles from where we lived. A town that he has not been in since he was six hours old, I might add.
Why do I know what hospital I was born in? Because when I was about 8 I found this cool metal lock box and loved to look at all of the papers in it, especially the ones with big gold stickers and footprints on the back. Official copies don't have the hospital name and picture embossed on the top (do they even have the hospital name on them?)

are gop folks getting that desperate? I am so sick and tired of this kind of tactic by american people who I know are so much better than this. how could this even become a valid question? from the sources I've seen - it is not a valid question. do people think that just anyone can sign up and run for the Senate or President? Are they that stupid? I just don't know what to say anymore about this kind of ignorance that spreads far and wide. it seems to be spreading in a certain segment via questionable internet sites and email, but not to the mass media, thankfully.
