:wave: i use it as a general hey and also "even though I am disagreeing with you, we can still be cheerful" approach. Interesting how even the smilies have different meanings to different people! Now I will wonder if people are taunting me :wave: when they do that. :angry:

By the way, :angry: has only one meaning. This too. :pissed:

I LOVE :bicycle: but as for the right uses? You know it when you see it.

I roll my eyes :roll:, blush :blush: and shrug :dunno: a lot IRL so I tend to use those smilies more than most ...

I use the :wave:smilie the same way I use a wave - 99% of the time it's a happy friendly thing - like a wave in real life.
