we lived on a cul de sac also. :sosad: no one ever bought our lemonade :bang: and got forbid if some kid tries to on 30-A

OMG! I thought that I was the only nerd who made potholders. Another favorite toy I had was a surrey-with-the-fringe-on top that I pretended was my car. I made a sign that said "Potholders For Sale," taped it to the surrey, and would sit for hours at the end of the driveway waiting for someone to buy some. Problem was that we lived on a cul-de-sac, so there was no through traffic. Occasionally a neighbor would feel sorry for me and buy a couple.

Yeah, kids today would think you're crazy if you gave them one. :rotfl: *I* think it was goofy. What the heck was the point of that craze?

Did anyone have troll dolls? I never liked dolls--no Barbies or MAs for me--but I always played with my trolls. (Good lord what does that say about me??? ) I learned how to braid on my wild troll hair. My trolls had cradles made from leftover Velveeta boxes.

Mine was a Defender Dan Machine Gun. I got it when I was 8. It was (I thought) life sized and shot plastic bullets. My parents got it for me for XMAS from the Colonial Grocery store.

You can see one here.

(And no, I'm not the person who paid $475 for it.)

LOLOL.

There's a SoWaller who lives near me in GA whose children used to sell lemonade on their driveway when they were small. So absolutely adorable! They're smarter than I was - they don't live on a cul de sac, so they got some business.
