Good Lord, graytonrbust....do you cook ALL of this yourself? I am coming to your house for Thanksgiving...YUM!!!"

I will cook everything except for the mac & cheese, my sister does that. And beleive it or not.....I also do all the cleaning up :bang:
So I get a good night sleep Thanksgiving......and plan to sleep late Fri morn.... no early morning shopping for me.
Watch out there graytonrbust....you may bust a gut with all that food!!!!

I never really eat that much...I nibble the whole time I am cooking!

I sure wish I was eating at YOUR house! Wow - what a feast! I've only eaten 2 frozen waffles so far today and your list is making my stomach growl!

Come on down JohnRudy there is always room for one more at my house. We are just about as southern a family as you can get.....

GRB, Your meal sounds wonderful! My MIL makes a homemade mac and cheese for the kids but we adults love it too!

Thanks I love to plan, cook and ,who am I kidding, even the clean up part. My granny was always the Thanksgiving Queen and I am honoured to follow in her footsteps.

Mermaid...repeat after me..."I will not call dressing...stuffing...I will not use BREAD in the dressing...I will use CORNBREAD....I will not put OYSTERS in the dressing...just some neck meat. I had one Thanskgiving up North and the stuff they served as dressing was made of white bread and tasted like GLUE! Oh, how I choked back the tears and then later called home and pleaded for a real Turkey dinner for Christmas!!!

Turkey
Cornbread dressing...not in the cavity of any bird!!!
Gravy w and w/o giblets
Three day Salad...sour cream, mini marshmallows, mandarin oranges, crushed pineapple
Relish tray...ripe olives, green onions, carrots, celery
Mashed Yukon Potatoes
Green Beans
Jellied Cranberry and Whole Cranberry Sauces
Crescent Rolls

Sweet Potato Pecan Pie from...Zingerman's (Thanks Paula) w/vanilla ice cream

PawPaw will be joining us for a Very Kitty Thanksgiving!!!! We will also celebrate a mini Christmas with him as we will be floating on the LOVE BOAT!

Miss Kitty! This is tooooooooooooooooo funny! I'm with ya on the bread "stuffing" :puke:

Maybe this is a first for this board, but I invited my ex...my daughter made me feel guilty saying he had no place to go...I didn't say "it's his own fault". I just asked present hubby if it was okay and invited. Don't know if he's coming, but judging from his size now, he probably will accept

Turkey (no ducken)
CORNBREAD DRESSING
Gravy
Broccoli casserole (Paula Deen)
Sweet Potato Casserole
Baked Apricots
Green Bean Casserole
Whipped Potatoes
Chocolate Ganache Tart
Pumpkin Pie
Buttermilk Pie

Tortilla Soup the night before while cooking for Thurs.

Sounds good DD! You will actually be glad Thursday night that you invited him. It'll make the daughter happy and even if he's a no show, you extended the invitation. Afer 27 years of being in that boat myself, you''ll be the winner !

Yes, I agree. So generous of you to extend the invitation and make your daughter happy too.

Better to get those akward feelings out of the way before your daughter gets married. That's when my parents saw each other again after 5 years. Let's just say it was a weird day. Good but weird.
